Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest and most comprehensive health systems, developed and recorded over 5000 years ago.

It teaches us the fundamentals of life, how we are connected with, and part of nature within a larger consciousness which expresses itself through all of us.

All of life can be seen through the interaction of the 5 basic elements which in our bodies are further refined into the 3 fundamental energies Vata, Pitta and Kapha ( called the doshas ).

These doshas in turn are responsible for all functions of our physiology.

Each of us is born with a certain ratio of each dosha which makes up our unique body constitution lending us certain physical, mental and emotional traits.

Ayurveda declares a person happy if he /she experiences bliss / happiness in his / her soul, mind and senses and is maintaining a balanced state of all bodily functions ( digestion and elimination ) Sushruta sutra 15,41

Through understanding our unique makeup, we can start to take responsibility of our own health and choose a lifestyle, diet and daily routine which supports our needs, creating ultimately more harmony, joy and bliss in our lives.
